Final Thoughts

This quarter has been amazing working out in the field. The only thing that I would change would have been the weather so that we had more days to dig. But even with that, it was great to learn about the history of the area. I am sad that it is over But thankful that we will have a record in case anyone wants more information on the mission. Here are some shots of this quarter.

  1. Hi Amber,
I totally agree..I was disapointed with our last day of digging cancelled but overall the lab day was really productive. It was definitly the whole experience to go from the field to the lab, and as Charles mentioned, in the Lab is actually where archaeology and anthropology really start to unravel. In the futre it would be nice to offer maybe a second level/field course 2. I wish the department would be more active(year round) in field work for anthro students. We shouldn't have to go to Belieze when we have alot of cool local sites to work on right in our own backyards

  3. I'm going to miss the water screening and pick-axe action. This was a great first experience out in the fields and I want more!
Lab day felt like detective work, sorta
Pretty cool how somethings fit and identified with the references

I still want to keep digging that site, it feels like theres something deeper down
